In a scientific landscape often dominated by incremental advances, there is a pressing need for works that produce, critique, and predict. Impactful reviews do not just summarize the past; they map the course for the future. These reviews consolidate fragmented knowledge, identify hidden bottlenecks, and highlight the next significant questions in applied chemistry and materials science. Through this special issue, the CTA journal aims to collect an authoritative and forward-looking collection of reviews to guide researchers and scientists. Whether you are offering a critical reassessment of a well-established field or introducing an emerging direction, your voice is welcome here.

Submission and publication details:

• Submission Deadline: September 30, 2026.

• Publication: An important feature of Chimica Techno Acta is that accepted articles will be published immediately in the special issue (Volume 13, Issue 3) with full metadata (article number, DOI) without the need to wait for the completion of the entire special issue. This ensures rapid dissemination of your work. All articles published for this special issue will be clearly marked and collected online.

• Open Peer Review: A key feature of our journal is our commitment to transparency. We follow an open peer review policy: the full text of the reviews and the authors' responses are published as supplementary material alongside each accepted article, promoting constructive and accountable scientific dialogue.
